Rejected Takeoff by British Airways Boeing 747-400

Exclusive footage of an aborted takeoff by British Airways Boeing 747-400 (Registration : G-CIVJ ; Serial : 25817 LN:1102) at Cape Town International Airport, South Africa. No specific reason for the abort was given. You can her the pilot coming on the PA during the video to say that he had a “slight takeoff warning”. No further information on the incident was given. We had a subsequent successful takeoff a couple of minutes later and the flight proceeded without incident. As you can see in the video weather conditions were quite poor at the time with heavy rain and strong winds so it could presumably have been a wind shear warning or sudden change in weather conditions which required a change in takeoff configuration. This aircraft was delivered to British Airways on 31/01/1997 and is powered by four Rolls Royce RB211-524G engines.

We took off right after an AA 777, I’m sorry I wasn’t able to film the rotation. Btw, I asked if I could watch the take off from Cockpit, but they said no
